Established in December, 2006, with total investment of $ 50,000,000, Kanghong Sagent (Chengdu) Pharmaceuticals, Inc is equally invested by Chengdu Kanghong Science and Technology Industrial (group) Co., Ltd and American Sagent Pharmaceuticals Inc. The company is located at Export Process Park, Western Park of Chengdu High and New Technical Development Area, covering an area of 170 mu, with the first stage construction area of 50,000 m2. The production lines will be built by American GMP standard, and they will pass Chinese SFDA and American FDA attestation. On August 2, 2007, the project was assessed in Washington D.C. by FDA officials. After the hearing six FDA officials as well as experts claimed this is the first all-isolated production line with the cutting-edge designing ideal in accordance with what is upgraded by FDA as subjecting the quality assurance to the designing and they are looking forward to its coming into being soon in China. The major products comprise 3 main categories of medicine, namely, anti-tumor, anti-infection and common clinical injection. It is expected to reach an annual output of 300 million production units. After the production is in full operation the annual worth of products will reach 10 billion US dollars with the markets mainly in American and Europe.
